2008 - Generation Wise
We live in a world where worldly wisdom abounds and where it is becoming increasingly hard for people to hear and receive the wonderful news of Jesus. For the sake of the Gospel, we need to be children of Generation Wise. We hope that these talks from kylc will help you become more competent and confident as you seek to proclaim the truth of the gospel more effectively in whatever context God may place you.

2007 - Strong and Courageous
"Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land..." Joshua 1:6 What is leadership all about? What are the skills that we need, to be equipped in Christian leadership? The Christian Gospel is facing great conflict with regard to pluralism, sexuality and freedom of speech. There will be battles to fight. Joshua and Titus are written to God's people to equip them to be prepared to fight the fight. We need to be Strong and Courageous to lead God's people through these times.

2006 - What we do in life Echoes in Eternity
As those who believe that the Word of God is living and active, powerful to save, and sufficient for equipping Christians for every good work, we are excited about this week! You will be taught, challenged and trained. You will be changed.

2000 - Living On The Edge
In our fast and changing world we are always living on the edge. How Christians live on the edge is clear as we look at God and His word, so as we study the Bible, we will learn about God, and so learn how to live.

Our aims for you at kylc are:

• grow in your knowledge of God and His ways through the hearing of His Word
• grow in obedience to God through the encouragement of the Scriptures and those around you
• enable you to better understand and teach the Bible
• think about how to conduct a youth ministry consistent with the Bible

It is a wonderful privilege to study the Bible with like minded people, and our prayer is that God will use this conference to change you, that you might be sent by God into the world to bring Him honour and glory through being committed, teaching the Bible and living faithfully under its authority as you seek to conform your lives and those you care for to His Word.

1999 - Living Matters
kylc is committed to the Bible as the foundation of Christian life and of all Christian ministry – including Youth ministry.

Our aims for you at kylc are that you will:

• grow in your knowledge of God and His ways through the preaching of His Word and through your own work in the seminar groups;
• think about how to teach the Bible yourself;
• think about how to do Youth ministry which is consistent with the Bible;
• meet with others who want to know God better, teach His ways and be the sort of youth leaders God desires.

The theme is 'Life Matters'. The matters of life – nitty gritty – the nuts and bolts. 'Life Matters'. How we live our life really does matter! These are at the heart of the Bible and of the two books we will be looking at – Numbers and Hebrews. Both refer to periods of transition as Gods plan of redemption moved to fulfillment. Both continue to teach us that 'Life Matters'!

Our prayer is that God will again use this conference to send youth leaders out into His world who are committed to teaching the Bible and living faithfully as they seek to save the lost and build up Christians into faithful disciples of Jesus.

1998 - Mission: Possible
Studying God's Word is great and we pray and expect to have an exciting time together. Exciting because we will learn new things and meet new friends. But even more exciting is that we will meet with God with His people around His Word, as we strive to understand it and stand under it. Nothing can be more exciting that that!

Mission Possible! Sometimes it looks like God has been pushed to the edges of our society. But looks can be deceptive. God is in control. He has come into history in his Son, and has always controlled history to bring about His purposes. We will see that as we study the Scriptures, and because of that we can have great confidence for the furture.

kylc is about understanding, livng and teaching God's Word and we concentrate on four areas:

• growing in knowledge of God and His ways from the Bible
• thinking about how you can teach the Bible to others
• thinking about how to conduct a ministry consistent with the Bible
• meeting with others who want to do the same thing

1997 - Clear & Present Danger
Clear and present danger. That is the world we live in. Growing uncertainty. Where we must contend for the faith once for all entrusted to they saints. And this week some of us will hear from the Old Testament Wisdom how to live in such a world, others of us will hear of God's great plans to over come the danger from Zechariah, and we will all hear from Peter, as he writes to believers in a hostile world with clear and present danger.

kylc is about understanding and living the Word of God, and we concentrate on four areas:

• thinking about how to teach the Bible yourself;
• thinking about how to do Youth ministry which is consistent with the Bible;
• meeting with other people who want to know God better and teach His ways.
